In our early days, Prairie’s Choice made the decision to only provide non-genetically modified (non-GMO) seed. At the time, many other companies were making the switch to use genetically modified seed. Therefore, our decision to not join this trend was quite bold and resulted in us losing quite a few customers along the way.

However, losing a few customers was worth the risk as many of these companies who signed the GMO license soon went out of business. Over time, after realizing non-GMO was a better choice, customers returned. To this day, we are still proud of our decision since it provides the healthiest options for our consumers, and that’s what has been most important to us since day one.
